About Galaxy Math
We're on a mission to make math fluency fun, accessible, and effective for every student.
Our Story
Galaxy Math was born from a simple observation: kids love games, but they don't love math worksheets. What if we could make math practice feel like play instead of work?
Our founder, a former elementary math teacher, spent years searching for a math fluency program that truly engaged students while teaching real mathematical thinking. Unable to find one that met the mark, they decided to build it.
Galaxy Math is the result: a space adventure where math facts are woven into gameplay, not bolted on as an afterthought. Students don't feel like they're doing homework—they're piloting spaceships, battling aliens, and exploring the cosmos.
Our Mission
“To help every student develop true math fluency through engaging, strategy-based practice that builds understanding and confidence.”
What We Believe
Fun First
Learning should be enjoyable. When kids love what they're doing, they learn better and retain more.
Understanding Over Memorization
We teach strategies and reasoning, not just rote memorization. Real fluency comes from understanding.
Research-Backed
Every feature is grounded in educational research and best practices from math education experts.
Accessible to All
Every student deserves access to quality math practice, regardless of background or resources.
Our Approach
Strategy-Based Learning
Unlike drill-based programs that rely on rote memorization, Galaxy Math teaches students HOW to think about math. Visual strategies like ten frames, number lines, and area models help students understand the relationships between numbers.
Adaptive Difficulty
Every student learns at their own pace. Galaxy Math continuously adjusts difficulty based on performance, ensuring students are always challenged but never frustrated.
Anxiety-Reducing Design
Math anxiety is real, and timed drills can make it worse. Galaxy Math uses encouraging feedback, no visible timers during practice, and positive reinforcement to build confidence alongside competence.
Game-First Philosophy
We don't make math games—we make games where math IS the gameplay. The difference matters. When math is central to the fun, students practice more, engage deeper, and retain better.
